[Socal] Money, Sex, Power

Carmen was my favorite ..she had it all. I suppose because I am a Cancer
I was drawn to her character but her character appeared to have it
all...she was mentally and physically stable and very giving and loving
to her partner and she loved her family. Its not all about sex and I am
tired of that too being portrayed a lot like all I am supposed to do
because I'm a lesbian is have sex all day. Forget that! I want substance
and I want more of that portrayed in the media! Jen was and still is a
winer, Alice just cracks me up, she has a great sense of humor, Dana was
cool with her shyness and appeared to be a true friend, Shane is just a
big old ho, lol..no she tried but you can only party like a rock star
for soo long before you wake up 60 and alone! Tina I wanted to punch in
the face, she makes me sick, Bette and Kit and just the coolest! All in
All! I love The L Word ..and Max ...AWWW Hot! XOXO

Hmmm.... sounds a  little like The L Word....
 
These are some of my thoughts about the show...
 Making a decent salary is cool, and sex is even cooler, and power well,
that can go many ways depending on how you use it. What irritates me
is... Where is the basic compassion, honesty, kindness, just being real
and even if that might look plain.... well some of this is shared among
friends in The L Word, but not so much in the relationships. What about
our relationships??? Do we just keep on screwing, and starting over and
over again along the way being dishonest and just overall tacky?? 
   Anyway, I do like watching The L Word, although I'd love to see more
women on the butch side and true lesbians on the show, that would be
nice. I don't mean to sound so negative, there are a lot of positive
aspects to the show, like telling a story about breast cancer, the close
friendships the women share, the support they give each other, Bette and
Tina adopting and starting a family, also when they just hang out
together. I like the sex scenes, I really enjoy that, the women are good
looking, although that part kind of irritates me too for the fact that
our society already puts "perfect" looking women out there in the media,
so that women in our country have self esteem issues. I could go on and
on, and if I think about all of this some more, I might see things
differently or not. Anyway... my favorite is Alice and Bette.... who is
your favorite?
