*gasp*  Dana died!?!? 
   
  I've only seen season 1 and that's only because someone I dated gave me the DVD set, I don't have Showtime so don't follow the storyline gossip because if I can't watch it then what's the point? Same with Sex and the City or Six Feet Under, I didn't get into them until they started showing it on basic cable. 
   
  But what I did see of the L Word left me wondering what all the fuss was about... yea they are mostly lipstick glamazons but I saw it as the dyke Dynasty... beautiful people, wearing beautiful clothes, living beautiful, if tragic, lives, the OTT storylines, the carefully choreographed sex scenes... it's a lesbian soap opera plan and simple. Leave the representational realities for serious dramas and documentaries, escapism can be a good thing (BTW I loved Die-nasty)  :-)
   
  BTW welcome to new folks... San Diego femme here partnered with a Belfast boi in Northern Ireland, I'm hoping to make the move over sometime this year. I'll be going to citybutch's theatre gig next Sunday, hope those going up to dinner in LA have a great time!!
