Hi everyone,

We're sorry to have missed the get-together, but hopefully will get to 
meet some of you at another time. We're in Chino Hills (near the 57 and 
60 junction), and seldom go out to Hollywood simply because of the 
traffic, but would love to go to anything happening from Pasadena to 
Irvine.

We are new to the list. I'm a 'classic' femme (is that term still 
used?), married to my adorable butch for eight years. We are an island, 
it seems, in a conventional suburb, and although we love the area and 
our straight friends, we wish to meet other lesbian couples, especially 
those who embrace the butch/femme dynamic. The one couple we know is 
very against that, thinking that it is somehow backwards and in 
imitation of straights, not understanding the deep identity forces 
involved. Somewhat like L Word characters (which we watch because it's 
the only show that attempts to offer our community a reflection of 
ourselves, no matter how shallow, soap-like, or preachy).

We are glad to have found this community!

    A reminder, we're having a Meet & Greet this coming Saturday, 
January 27th at the French Quarter Restaurant located at 7985 Santa 
Monica Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90046 at 6:00p.m.
Afterwards everyone can head to such places as The Abbey, The Palms or
