Hi, Queen Bee:
 
I'm in Santa Monica, so might be able to do something, if I ever have the time (between work and school, it's kinda hard).  Or, perhaps we could meet some time for coffee; let me know.  Koop is right, it is hard to get people together in L.A., because it's such a large geographic area.

Oh, this is great!  I just moved to LA (I'm in the Los Feliz/Silverlake area) but I'd be happy to drive to Long Beach to meet folks!
 
I am happy to plan something, but maybe someone who knows Long Beach could give me a helping hand?
